Together, we’ll explore how you can find your way (back) to being your true self…

I offer a warm, grounded space for relational here-and-now exploration where your present experience is the guide.
This is a place for honest presence, with compassion and clarity, where insight grows out of interaction and small shifts become lasting change. Whether that’s in therapy, training or supervision.

Welcome…

Linda Riemsdijk NARM

About Linda

Already early on in life I became curious about human relationships—interactions, (mis)attunement and repair—and how I had adapted to my personal circumstances.

Wanting to work with children at first, teaching was my original orientation. Besides teaching me a lot about myself, I quickly learned that working with their parents would have a different impact on their development. That’s how I shifted towards becoming a couples- and family therapist.

Together with the curiosity in my personal development, my path led me to a variety of modalities of trauma-informed therapeutic approaches. The last decade I’ve spent studying and integrating those on different levels, and with NARM at the core of all of that, I created my specific way of teaching, giving therapy and supervision.

Centrum voor Hechting en Trauma

As the founder of the Dutch ‘Centrum voor Hechting en trauma’
(Center for attachment and trauma)…

…I offer professional education designed for mental health professionals and a broad spectrum of other helping professions, with the objective of further developing their personal and relational skills in order to refine their professional tools.

I strive to create a rich and interactive learning environment for participants that want to deepen their embodied understanding of working with dynamics that have their roots in developmental trauma. These dynamics also address relational-, emotional-, attachment-, intergenerational trauma.

What I offer, is not a new method, but an approach in which the relational space in the here and now, between you and your client is the most important resource for corrective relational experiences and healing. All my trainings are deeply inspired by NARM, but also by other modalities and teachers I’ve learned and have been inspired from in the last decade.

Therapy

I offer therapy for (young) adults in English, Dutch and German, and I'm specialised in working with developmental trauma (C-PTSD), attachment issues and their impact on personal development and parenting.

For this, I use effective methodologies such as NARM® (Dr. Laurence Heller), Somatic Experiencing® (Dr. Peter Levine), Neuroaffective Developmental Psychology (Marianne Bentzen), SSP - SomatoSensible Psychodynamik (Michael Mokrus) and others.

Together, we look at how your symptoms or longings can be an invitation to rediscover yourself. A restoration of basic trust in yourself, in relation to others.

Symptoms are a message from the body and mind to start a process of awareness, recovery and growth. We thereby make use of the self-healing capacity of our body.

If you suffer from anxiety, chronic tension or pain, sleep or eating disorders, anger issues, addictions, and other stress-related symptoms, I can help you.

Trauma, at its core, is about the breaking of connection—with others, but also with yourself. In response, we replace patterns of connection with patterns of protection.

  • Do you feel stuck?

  • Are you often restless, tense, or angry?

  • Have you experienced major events that continue to affect your life?

  • Do you struggle to form or maintain relationships and friendships?

  • Do you have questions about intimacy and sexuality?

  • Are you dealing with shame, guilt, or fears?

  • Do you have questions about identity and/or sexual orientation (LGBTQ+)?

  • Have you burned out or do you tend to push past your own limits?

  • Do you struggle to connect with or express your emotions?

“Everything we learn, we learn through connection — connection with others and with ourselves.”
— Linda

The Neuroaffective Relational Model (NARM™) is a psychotherapeutic approach specifically designed to treat attachment-, relational-, and developmental trauma, also referred to as “complex trauma” (Complex-PTSD or C-PTSD). This developmentally oriented, neuroscience-based method emerged from psychotherapeutic orientations such as psychodynamic psychotherapy, attachment theory, Gestalt therapy, and somatic psychotherapy. NARM™ integrates top-down psychotherapy with bottom-up somatics approaches in a relational context.

NARM™ was developed by Dr. Laurence Heller over the course of his 45-year clinical career and first introduced in his book, Healing Developmental Trauma: How Early Trauma Affects Self-Regulation, Self-Image and the Capacity for Relationship. The NARM™ model is a powerful approach to addressing adverse childhood experiences and their long-term consequences as revealed in the ACEs study.
